Hamza needs our help
In November 2025 I met Hamza at an event of the Toni Kroos Foundation. A boy full of joy – and yet he fights daily against the spastic paralysis that permanently shortens and tightens his muscles and fascia.
Spasticity means: every step hurts. Movements that are natural for us cost Hamza enormous effort. His brain sends faulty signals to the muscles – they contract without stopping.
There is a solution: the selective myofasciotomy by Dr. Igor Nazarov in Barcelona. In this precise procedure, the shortened muscle and fascia structures are specifically released – Hamza has already gone through this once, and the success was enormous. Now, with a body that has grown further, he needs another round.
This is followed by ABM therapy (Anat Baniel Method) – neuromotor rehabilitation that teaches the brain to use the released muscles in new and correct ways. The combination helped strongly the first time. The operation on August 4, 2026 costs €6,300.
That is why I run. 657 kilometres. I ask 100 people to each pledge 10 cents per kilometre – €66 per person, together exactly what Hamza needs.
